FACULTY & STUDENT RESOURCES
Faculty Research Funding
The Center awards faculty seed grants to support preliminary explorations of environmental issues that show promise for further scholarship. The awards are intended to seed the most exciting and innovative projects that could not be tackled without support from the Center. The awards are available through a competition open to all Harvard faculty members, regardless of any past affiliation with the Center. A portion of the funding will be reserved for faculty members who have not done prior environmental research. The Center has awarded 26 faculty seed grants since 2003 worth a total of $800,000.

Short Term Visiting Scholars Program
The Center welcomes nominations from Harvard faculty to bring prominent scholars in any discipline related to environmental studies to campus for short-term (up to two weeks) visits. These scholars will help to stimulate research interest on various areas of environmental studies through meetings with faculty, seminar and classroom presentations, and lectures to the broader Harvard community.
Visiting Scholars will be offered funds for travel and lodging, office space, and a generous honorarium. For more information on this new program, please contact the Center's Managing Director, James Clem, at clem@fas.harvard.edu.
