 Commissioned by A.R.T. through a collaboration with the Harvard University Center for the Environment, ***Ocean Filibuster*** is an epic battle of wits and wills, smarts and sass, facts, and anthropocentric fiction. Join us for the Behind the Scenes event with the creative team to get an insider’s look at scenes, songs, and video of this new music-theater experience.**Picture this:** There is a global governing body and Mr. Senate Majority is introducing the “End of Ocean Bill,” designed to end the oceans by shrinking them down into a series of managed and manageable lagoons. When he opens the floor for debate, the ocean itself appears in human form to speak in its own defense.

Behind the Scenes will feature co-creators Obie Award winners **Katie Pearl** and **Lisa D’Amour**; Composer **Sxip Shirey**, whose acclaimed Sxip’s Hour of Charm welcomed guests like **Reggie Watts**, **Amanda Palmer**, and **Erin McKeown**; and Obie Award-winning performer **Jennifer Kidwell**.
