Join HLS for an opportunity to speak with Acting Director Shaun Goho, Senior Staff Attorney Aladdine Joroff, Clinical Fellows Leah Cohen and Tommy Landers, and current Clinic students about fantastic and diverse opportunities to work on ground-breaking environmental and energy projects.
Expand your lawyering skills and substantive knowledge by defending the role of science in decision-making, enabling and supporting citizen enforcement of environmental laws, fighting for energy and environmental justice, and advising municipalities about options for resiliency in the face of climate change, among many other kinds of projects. The work includes writing briefs and comment letters, drafting climate change mitigation and adaptation regulations and policies for municipalities, preparing guidance documents and manuals for non-lawyers, drafting model legislation, and preparing policy papers. Students operate as “first chairs” on all projects, provide strategic advice, develop theories of litigation, and present their work to clients, courts, and/or government officials. The Clinic works with municipalities, tribes, and nonprofit organizations. Come learn more!
