Joe Aldy is a leading environmental economist whose research focuses on climate change policy and energy policy. Aldy was previously Special Assistant to the President for Energy and Environment in the Obama Administration (2009-2010) when he served on the presidential transition team and negotiated with Capitol Hill to include $90 billion for green goals in the Recovery Act.

The First 100 Days: Climate and Environmental Policy in the Biden Administration
Prior to every U.S. presidential election, transition teams prepare policy proposals for the first 100 days. Throughout this year’s campaign, the candidates voiced dramatically different views on climate change, environmental regulations, racism and integrating climate goals in economic recovery. This series of workshops will look at potential risks and opportunities for action on climate change by the Biden administration.
